Are you an Arrowmen looking for a once in a lifetime experience this summer? If so, you’re in for a major treat because the Summit Bechtel Reserve is hosting a brand new Order of the Arrow event that’s only offered in 2016.
The OA event, Prism, is a four-day adventure program at the Summit that culminates on the same grounds where the Order was founded. The event is offered to eight Arrowmen from each lodge as part of the inaugural year of the Summit Circle at the Summit Bechtel Reserve.
Eight Arrowmen from each lodge will illuminate their OA experience this summer at the Summit Bechtel Reserve.
The original ceremony grounds have been moved and recreated in their entirety at a new Summit Circle. Eight Arrowmen from your lodge will travel to the SBR for a four day adventure that culminates on the same grounds where the Order was founded. Your lodge will receive its eight tickets the second week of January, along with the session dates.
This summer, lodge and section leadership from across the country will be invited to Indiana University for a new kind of training experience.
NEXT: A New Century will take place July 30 through August 3. The lodge chief, two youth change agents and two adult advisers from each lodge will be invited to attend. Each section will also receive three invitations.
The 2016 national event, NEXT: A New Century, will be truly unlike anything the Order of the Arrow has ever seen. Youth leaders from across the nation will gather at Indiana University from July 30 to August 3, 2016 in order to learn, grow and be inspired as we proceed into a new century of service.
Each lodge will be able to send 3 youth and 2 adults: its lodge chief, another lodge officer and one additional youth member, as well as the lodge adviser and one associate adviser.
For those interested in attending this event, talk to your lodge chief and adviser today, or check out the website here: http://www.oa-bsa.org/pages/content/next-a-new-century
